Music and Ministry

Sunday, February 15 was one of the first steps that the team has taken to actively "get out the message" about our trip to China. We took a road trip.

I always knew that music was a huge part of ministry (David and Saul, case and point), but to be a member of a music ministry mission is an exhilarating experience. 11 of the Mengzi Team crammed into the college van and set off to Ft. Meyers for a short, day trip.

After a beautiful concert of piano, vocal, flute, penny whistle, and euphonium pieces, several team members shared their testimonies about why they believe that God is calling them to be a part of the China team. It was inspirational to hear how God had worked in each heart, drawing them to the Orient.

My own heartbeat has beat a unique drum ever since I was six years old... I knew that I was going to China. After spending two years there, I thought I was done; but God has other plans. I am still so humbled to be a part of this team.

Please pray for us. We still have a LONG way to go on support. But, the tickets have been purchased, passports have been issued, and study plans have been begun.

Would you help?

Why a missions trip?

To make a difference in this world, albeit small and seemingly insignificant, is a desire that has burned in the heart of good, decent, and moral people throughout the span of time.

To touch a life with the Gospel of Christ has been a driving force in mission conquests since the time of the Apostles and the Great Commission.

To make a difference in this world for Christ, to love the unlovely, to hug the orphan, to comfort the weary, and to share my Saviour are overwhelming desires of my heart.

These desires will be fulfilled on the Mengzi Mission 2009.

Together with a team of faculty, staff, and students from Clearwater Christian College, I will be a part of a miracle. We plan to spend three weeks working in colleges, schools, and orphanages with students and Chinese nationals in Mengzi, China.

Would you pray? Would you support?
